Spring has sprung

It’s hard to get any work done with these little characters hopping around the garden. They have quickly learnt the knack of flapping their wings to demand food. Mum’s and dad’s are whizzing around left, right and centre trying to keep these chaps happy and it’s costing us a small fortune in bird seed and peanuts!

We’ve had lots of other visitors to the garden recently, Siskins, Greenfinches, Goldfinches, Redpolls, Meadow Pipits. There was a short visit from a Mistle Thrush which had a very unfortunate victim sandwiched in it’s beak .. an emperor moth! He wasn’t particularly keen on hanging around for his photo taking.
