The beautiful Gruinard beach on a summers day
It can be tiring lounging on a beach all day but it’s easy to find a way to be productive for an hour or so
who needs a smart phone when there are shells in the world
The calm waters at Laide beach
a lovely place for rock pooling
or Jelly watching
or for admiring the carpets of different seaweeds on the exposed rocks
Down the road on the outskirts of Aultbea, a scamper down to the shoreline
reveals the remains of an otters lunch
Leaping amongst the heather & long grass, Grasshoppers trying to stay clear of the Stonechats and Pippits
a couple were happy to pose for a photo
a short walk away, another lovely little sandy spot with fantastic views
the perfect place to linger and watch the waders
Wester Ross wanderings.
Escape the crowds to stroll by the sea.
Highland nature to marvel at.
Lovely John and Louise .Hope to get back to you ,we have missed the west since April .What a strange summer it has been !

Hi June, really pleased that you like the blog. It really has been up & down hasn’t it, our veg plot has suffered this year sadly.
Hope you are both well & if you fancy a jaunt over to the west it would be a pleasure to see you again.
All the best
John & Louise
